July 1963 saw the first US Aircraft Register in bookform; almost a decade later, these registers were available on microfiche. And in 1992, the FAA went Windows digital; the earliest copy of such a register in our possession is dated 30 September 1992.
This has now been converted and saved in a more friendly PDF format. The total of 4647 pages has been split into eight files to make the download a bit more manageable for those with only Modem access.
We trust the information will be of great use to the keen aviation historian; and with the help of Google all those 320.000+ registrations will now be in the public domain for posterity.
